The American Legion

Eligibility Criteria:

If you are currently on active duty, serving the United States honorably, anywhere in the world, or have served honorably during any of the following eligible war eras, we invite you to become a member of The American Legion. National Guard and Reservists having been Federally activated (including basic training) during these same war eras also meet the eligibility requirements.

• Gulf War/War on Terrorism -  August 2, 1990 to date of cessation

• Panama - December 20, 1989 - January 31, 1990

• Lebanon and Grenada - August 24, 1982 - July 31, 1984

• Vietnam War - February 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975

• Korean War - June 25, 1950 - January 31, 1955

• World War II - December 7, 1941 - December 31, 1946

• World War W I - April 6, 1917 - November 11,1918

The American Legion Auxiliary

Eligibility Criteria:

​

A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary. The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great-grand-daughter, or grandmother of members of The American Legion, and deceased veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.

The Sons of The American Legion

Eligibility Criteria:

​

All male descendents, adopted sons and stepsons of members of The American Legion, and such male descendents of veterans who died in service during World War I, World War II, and Koren War, the Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf War, during the delimiting periods set forth in Article IV, Section I, of the National Constitution of The American Legion, or who died subsequent to their honorable discharge from such service, shall be eligible for membership in the Sons of The American Legion.

The American Legion Riders

Eligibility Criteria:

​

The American Legion Riders members include males and females that are members in good standing with The American Legion Post #194 Family to include (The American Legion, The American Legion Auxiliary and The Sons of The American Legion).
